For agencies requesting a payroll analysis
Two payroll reports are all we need to build your line-by-line analysis. This page shows you exactly which report to run in your system and how to send it without including your caregivers' personal information.
It takes about five minutes. If it takes longer than that, stop and call Charley at 435-999-5450. We would rather walk you through it than have you fight with a reports menu.
Taking the 2026 Benchmark Study?
Your payroll data is the second part of the study. It allows us to calculate how many caregivers at your agency could potentially qualify for the benefit, something opinion data alone cannot tell us.
Qualified agencies that complete this step receive a Caregiver Benefits Opportunity Report. The first 50 qualified agencies also receive a $100 gift card as compensation for their time. There is nothing to buy. More about the study.
Your last two completed pay periods. A payroll journal, payroll register, or payroll summary all work. CSV, Excel or PDF are all fine.
| Field | Why we need it |
|---|---|
| Gross wages, itemized per employee required | One line per employee for each pay period. This is the only number the analysis needs. |
What we do not need, and do not want. No names. No Social Security numbers. No home addresses. No dates of birth. If your export offers those columns, leave them unchecked before you download. If your system does not let you exclude those fields, call or text Charley at 435-999-5450 before sending the file. We will help you find the simplest way to provide what we need without including unnecessary personal information.
If Payroll Journal does not give you the columns you need, Payroll Data Export is the other one worth trying.
Paychex menus differ a little between account types. If yours does not look like this, take a screenshot of your reports menu and text it to 435-999-5450. Charley will tell you which one to click.
ADP, QuickBooks, Rippling, Paylocity, Wave, a bookkeeper who runs it for you, or a stack of PDFs. We can work with all of them. The report is usually called a payroll journal, payroll register, payroll summary, or something similar.
One thing that does matter regardless of system: gross wages must be itemized per employee. A single company total tells us nothing. If your report only shows totals, look for a detail or by-employee version.
Use the uploader below. It goes straight into the account, so nothing sits in an inbox. You can also reply to any email from Charley with the file attached, or call 435-999-5450 if you would rather hand it off on a screen share.
